PlantCast helps people care for plants using tools such as identification, growing areas, reminders, and an AI assistant. This document explains how we think about age suitability and what to expect from the app.

App Store age rating (13+)
On the Apple App Store, PlantCast is currently assigned an age rating of 13+ based on the information we provide to Apple (including features such as optional web access, AI-assisted help, and general plant and wellness-related educational content). Ratings can vary by region or platform and may change if the app or Appleās criteria change. Always check the age rating shown on the store listing for your country before download.
Who the app is for
PlantCast is designed for a general audience interested in plants and gardening. It is not designed as a product for young children. We expect teens and adults to be the primary users. Parents and guardians should decide whether the app is appropriate for anyone under 13 in their household, taking into account maturity, reading level, and how you use devices together.
What you can do in PlantCast
The app may include plant identification (including camera use where you allow it), organizing plants and growing spaces, care reminders, location- or climate-aware suggestions where you enable them, and an AI assistant for plant- and app-related questions. Features can change over time; the in-app experience and App Store description are the best guide to what is available in your version.
Health, wellness, and AI
PlantCast is not a medical, mental health, or veterinary service. AI answers and plant information are for general education and gardeningānot diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. Some content may touch topics such as toxicity, edibility, or traditional uses of plants; always verify safety with qualified professionals and authoritative sources before any health-related or ingestion decisions. The app shows disclaimers in key places to reinforce this.
Web content and links
Depending on your platform and settings, parts of PlantCast may load web content (for example, the main experience in a web view on mobile). That can mean access to links or pages beyond what we fully control. We recommend that minors use the app with guidance from a parent or guardian, especially when browsing or following external links.
Parents and guardians
If you allow a minor to use PlantCast, we encourage you to use device-level parental controls, supervise camera and photo use, discuss not sharing personal information with strangers, and review the Privacy Policy together. Keeping information up to date
