Delete your data or account

PlantCast offers two ways to remove data: delete specific content while keeping your account, or permanently delete your account and all data tied to it. Use the sections below to match what you need.

Delete your data (keep your account)

While signed in, use the dashboard in the web app or in the iOS or Android app. You can remove plants, areas, and casts from their pages. Notifications and reminders can be cleared from the Notifications page or when you delete the related casts. This path does not delete your login or profile.

Plants

Open Plants (/dashboard/plants). From your collection, open a plant to see its details and use Delete, or remove a plant from list or card actions. Plants are removed one at a time. There is no single “delete all plants” control in the app today—if you must remove every plant at once, use Delete your account and all data below, which deletes all app data tied to your sign-in, or contact Support.

Areas

Open Areas (/dashboard/areas). Delete each area from the area row or detail flow. Deleting an area may remove plants inside it depending on your choices in the confirmation dialog. There is no single “delete all areas” control in the app today—if you must remove every area at once, use Delete your account and all data below, or contact Support.

Casts (schedules and reminders)

Open Casts (/dashboard/casts). In Calendar view, use Delete All to remove every cast, or delete casts visible in the current day, week, or month, or for a selected plant. In List view, scroll to the bottom and use Delete All to remove every cast at once. You can optionally dismiss related reminders when you delete. Deleting casts removes those schedules from your account; the notification list updates when you dismiss items or when casts are removed.

Notifications and reminders

Open Notifications (/dashboard/notifications) from the menu (bell icon). Mark notifications as read or mark reminders as done. When multiple cast reminders appear, you can use Select all and Dismiss in the dialog. To clear reminders tied to casts quickly, delete those casts on the Casts page (see Casts above).

Notes

Open Notes (/dashboard/notes) from the navigation menu. Select any note to open it and use the Delete option to remove it. Notes synced to the cloud are permanently deleted from our servers; notes stored only on this device are removed from your browser profile immediately. Local-only notes are also cleared when you sign out, uninstall the app, or clear your browser site data. Deleting your account (see below) removes all cloud-synced notes automatically.

Delete your account and all data

Use this path only when you want to permanently close your account and remove plants, areas, casts, photos you uploaded, and profile information from our active systems.

Steps to delete your account

  1. Sign in to PlantCast on the web or in the iOS or Android app.
  2. Open your Profile: from the dashboard, go to Profile (web: /dashboard/profile; in the app, use the profile menu in the header).
  3. Scroll to Account deletion, read the notice, type DELETE in capital letters, and confirm to permanently delete your account.

After you complete this flow, your account and app data tied to that login are removed from our active systems. We may retain limited information only where required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you cannot sign in or need help deleting your account, contact us from Support and include the email address for the account. State that you want your account and associated data deleted.
